This stick man activity is a great little busy bag idea you can take just about anywhere!
The first thing that comes to mind when my child asks me to draw something, is “Oh no!”.
I tell her I’ll give it my best shot but I can’t guarantee anything.
Drawing is definitely not my thing and I’m not going to lie, I have pulled out my phone numerous times when my child asks me to draw something crazy, like a Leprechaun.
Which, believe it or not, she has done before!
On the other hand, though, stick men, I can do!

Print and cut out the cards and if you’re feeling creative, add some more of your own.
Why not! The more the merrier!
Lay out all your supplies and your Stick Men activity is ready to go, already!
Playing with Silly Stick Men Activity
Have your child use the popsicle sticks and pom poms to create each of the silly stick men shown on the cards.
Not only does this activity work on fine motor skills but it also works on visual discrimination.
“What size popsicle stick should go where? Let’s look closely at the card!”
With practice, your child will pay attention to detail in no time at all.
My daughter was so proud of herself when she would complete each one.
Who would of thought popsicle sticks and pom poms could be so much fun!
She would even ask me to choose a card and see if I could trick her.
No such luck, though!
Take it Anywhere
Another reason why I really like this stick men activity is for the fact that is portable.
It can be placed in a zipper baggy or reusable bag and taken on road trips, airplanes and even restaurants.
Activities like this are great for travelling with kids.
Super simple, throw in your purse, type of activity.
That’s my kind of activity!
My girls loved bringing this to the restaurant while they waited for their food. It kept them entertained the whole time!
No whining, crying or even bugging Mommy or Daddy!
Absolutely perfect, activity!
As a child learns to draw, stick men is what they will begin with.
Hence, this activity is also great for introducing drawing people.
