To make your own Valentine’s Day sight word activity, you’ll need:

  • scissors
  • marker
  • construction paper
  • index cards

DIY Sight Word Hearts for Valentine’s Day

First, I prepped for the activity. I wrote out a few sight words on index cards.

We only work on 5-10 words at a time. You don’t want to overwhelm your child with too many words at once.

You’ll also want to try this fun sight word jump & grab game!

Then I cut out a handful of small hearts from construction paper. I wrote the letters of the words separately on the paper hearts.
