Get the Kids Involved in Making the Christmas Countdown Paper Chain
Preschoolers and older kids can cut the strips apart.
My preschooler is just learning to follow the lines while cutting. He veered off a couple of times, but it’s easily fixed with some scotch tape.
After all the strips are cut, the kids can create a pattern and link them together to make a paper chain.
An adult, or another child, can hold the link in place while your child staples it. You could also use tape to close each link.
Then hang it up! This Christmas chain can also add to your Christmas decorations.
Remove a link of the paper chain every day until Christmas.
Add in a touch of learning by counting how many chains are left! Or do they remember how many were there yesterday and subtract one?
Have a blast doing all sorts of Christmas activities together as you Countdown to the Holiday!
Kids will love to count the chains each day to see just how many more days until Christmas!
Give this simple paper Christmas countdown chain a try and let us know how it goes.
