Make your own stamps out of pipe cleaners for a stamped heart Valentine's Day craft from Brigitte!
It’s already almost Valentine’s Day!
Valentine’s Day seems to just require all of the crafts. And I’m 100% okay with that.
Stamped Heart Valentine’s Day Pipe Cleaner Craft
I love this simple stamped heart Valentine’s Day activity. Make your own pipe cleaner stamps at home using just a few basic materials you probably already have at home.
To make your own pipe cleaner stamped heart, you’ll need:
- pipe cleaners
- paper
- paper plate
- paint
Make Your Pipe Cleaner Heart Stamps
Fold the pipe cleaners into hearts. The hearts can be all different sizes!
I found it to be the easiest to start by bending the pipe cleaner into the number three.
Then, twist the ends of the pipe cleaner together.
We left part of the pipe cleaner sticking up. This made it easier for the kids to hold on to while stamping.

DIY Stamped Hearts for Valentine’s Day!
Once the hearts were made, it was time for the paint! We chose purple, bright pink, light pink, and red to go along with the Valentine’s Day theme.
I poured each of the paints onto a paper plate. My daughters didn’t want to mix the colors, so they decided to choose one heart-shaped pipe cleaner to dip in each color.
The purple heart was the smallest, and the bright pink heart was the biggest.
My daughters pressed the paint-covered hearts on to their papers.
One of my daughters stamped the hearts on the edges of the paper. She liked how the hearts looked like they were falling off the page.
The end results were adorable!
This activity is great for a DIY wrapping paper.
We also stamped a white paper bag we can fill with Valentine’s Day treats.
Although the hearts are great for a Valentine’s Day theme, the pipe cleaners can also be bent into a variety of other shapes for some added shape practice.
