Play this super simple no-prep bouncy ball game at home today! This gross motor bouncy ball activity is sure to get laughs and giggles!
What kid doesn’t love to play with bouncy balls at home? Mine are obsessed with them.
My kids love finding different ways to play and move them around. Bouncing, kicking, throwing, hitting, rolling them…they have fun with all of it!
Gross motor practice without even knowing it!
The best part about bouncy balls is that they are small and light making it easy to manipulate.
Plus they go crazy when you bounce them!
With that in mind, it may be helpful to set some bouncy ball rules for your home so things don’t get broke from bouncing too hard, or so they don’t get left around the house and a dog (or toddler!) tries to eat it.
What can you do with a bouncy ball at home?

To Make Your Own Bouncy Ball Toss Activity You Will Need Two Simple Supplies:
- a laundry hamper (or a large box will do!)
- bouncy balls (affiliate link)
If you don’t have bouncy balls on hand, you could also do this activity with ping pong balls or tennis balls.
Or think bigger, and take it outside on the driveway and use a volleyball or basketball and have them aim for a hula hoop or draw sidewalk targets with sidewalk chalk. It’ll be so much fun!!

Activity Pro Tip: To collect the supplies needed for any game or activity, I like to ask my kids to join me.
This adds to their enjoyment as they are instantly intrigued to find out what we will be doing with the items we have gathered from the home.
Think about how you can make this bouncy ball game easier for toddlers if you have a younger child, or more advanced for older kids.
If you have a toddler, just let it be up to your child’s imagination! The bouncy balls are likely enough entertainment!
If you have older kids, you can add in learning elements. Challenge them to how many in a row they can get to stay in the basket at one time.
This easy, no-prep at home bouncy ball game is sure to make your kids laugh and giggle as they play.
Bouncy Ball Target Practice for Preschoolers
Set up a laundry basket against a wall somewhere in your house.
Pass your child some bouncy balls and watch how fun it is to try to get the bouncy balls to actually land in the laundry basket. (They bounce everywhere!)
Why not join in, too? I sure did. It was blast!
My girls love it when I join in the game fun! (Another Activity Pro Tip! Join them!)
Playing this laundry basket bouncy ball toss game was no exception in my home, its kind of addictive!
I must say that this game quickly turned into, “How many balls can I get in the hamper when I throw a handful of them?”
There were bouncy balls everywhere in my home but so much fun was had by all of us!
My youngest even thought it would be fun to sit in the hamper and throw the balls out. (Remember, you could do this with a cardboard box too.)
As you can tell by the cheeky grin on her face, she loved it.
It was neat to watch both my girls approach this activity differently.
My youngest would try to throw the balls into the hamper without bouncing it on the floor first however my oldest would bounce it first.
Both my girls were successful which is exactly what we as parents want to see.
Definitely an activity win!
