Hop! Skip! Jump! is a super simple activity for toddlers, and even preschoolers or kindergartners, will love that I found with Knoala App.
All you need is some room (taking it outside worked well for us because it was a gorgeous day, but this would be a great boredom buster for an indoor day) and some paper plates.
I had two colors of paper plates left over from birthday parties. I handed them to the boys to set out on the sidewalk, however they wanted.
Henry took charge, as usual, and laid them out in a pattern, showing George where to put what color.
Get moving! Hop! Skip! Jump!
I had them hop along the paper plates, one to the next. Jumping if they needed to.
They mastered that in no time, so then it was time for a challenge.
How about just hopping on the orange plates?
And then the green paper plates?
How else can they be lined up?
Oh… they can be sorted by color into lines… (and for some reason after the boys sorted them, they wanted them flipped over… not sure why…)
And walk along them back and forth.
Of course, I had to join in too. They thought I was just plain silly though.
Knoala app has many more activities very simple like this one. Very little prep time, if at all, and with props that you already have on hand (think socks). You can set up the app for one or all of your kids and you can search for activities for each individual kid, based on their age! Its awesome!
I’m a little addicted to it.
